Good morning America, how are you?

Not too good….

I’m at least thankful that I was able to see New Orleans for one last time before this massive storm came through. I’ve had the luxury of being able to go to a football game in the Superdome and being on the field, as well going down to the French Quarter and the Garden District. I’ve had beneigts at Cafe Du Monde, and hung out in Jackson Square. Been on the Riverboat, and been to the top of the World Trade Center (their version) to see the city from up high. I’ve had nothing but fun in that town everytime I’ve been there, and I hate to see this happen.

I only hope that they can recover from this to make the Big Easy the fun loving town that it’s always been. I actually got to go over there about 3 months ago so it’s been pretty recent. Just hoping that the worst of it is already passed and the town will be what it once was again.

Can’t Find My Way Home

Posted in Old Rantings at 7:00 pm by mdellinger

We’re about to play a gig at the end of September at a place called Monkey Barrel in Gainesville. So far we’ve been getting together every week to get ready for it and things have been going pretty good. We obviously have some things we need to work on, but the way things are coming together I’m not too concerned about it. I just hope Lee can get some of the lyrics down before the gig.

So far our setlist is:

  1. Can’t Find My Way Home
  2. Bitch
  3. Poor Me
  4. Tuesday’s Gone
  5. Yellow Ledbetter
  6. Water Lily
  7. Johnny B. Goode
  8. Ticket to Ride
  9. I Do
  10. Going to California
  11. Backporch
  12. Lovelight
  13. Patch it Up
  14. Like a Rolling Stone
  15. Up on Cripple Creek
  16. Putty
  17. Day Tripper
  18. Friend of the Devil

There’s definitely going to be more added to this list, that’s just all I can remember off the top of my head.

I hope we can keep these up for a while and at least start playing some more around town. It’s a damn shame we’ve gone this long with not much to show for it.
