It’s set, Whitney and I are going off to Hawaii for the honeymoon! After a small fiasco with getting tickets we were able to get them today, and we’re both very excited. This will be the first trip there for both of us, and we’re going to be flying first class (also a first for us)! A HUGE thanks to my dad’s friend Mike and my Mom for donating sky miles for the tickets.
Now we just have to plan the rest of the trip…but luckily we’ve got someone we know that has been there before, which will help us out with planning the thing.
Our flight is leaving the day after the wedding and we’ll come back the next Tuesday stopping in San Francisco for two days before coming home.
Things are starting to really get going, we just found the officiant for the wedding the other day and we both really liked him a lot. We’ve still got a ways to go, but we’re making progress in getting there.
Well this weekend could have ended up a little better than I had hoped. It’s hard to watch your teams lose in such hard fought battles. But at least I came out with one victory (the one that really matters most), the Georgia Bulldogs.
Whitney and I went to the Falcons game on Sunday when we took on the Patriots. Coming off of last year I would have thought they might have killed us, but the way they have played recently I thought we had a shot in this one. It didn’t start out good that Vick wasn’t in, but Matt Scaub is still a damn good QB. People like Michael Irvin saying on ESPN that there’s no way the Falcons can win with Schaub have no idea what they’re talking about. This isn’t like when we had Doug Johnson and when Vick went down we’re done for. Schaub can actually play and we still have the team to take anybody in the NFL on.
We ended up losing on a field goal from New England at the very end of the game…it proved pretty devastating, and we had fought back to tie it and had a real chace to take them down.
I also have to say that those officials are some of the worst I’ve seen in the NFL, they should all be fired after that game. Some of the calls (and no-calls) they made are just inexcusable. Read the rest of this entry »
Well Georgia faces Tennessee this weekend which is always one of the biggest of the year. This time it’s just as big as we’re both in the hunt for the SEC, and this win may be the deciding factor in who will go to the championship.
We’ve got the team to take them on, the question is can we perform?
We have to play as good, if not better than we’ve played all year. If we can match what we brought to the Boise State game then we’ll be sitting pretty on top of the SEC East and ride it on into December. But if we try to pull what we did against South Carolina or even Mississippi State, we’ll be flattened. Read the rest of this entry »
Well the Braves came into game two against Houston with one thought in mind, this is a must win. They would be going back to play in Houston and being two games down just wasn’t going to cut it. Oh yeah, they also have to win this game facing one of the greatest pitchers of all time, Roger Clemens.
And what’s the best way to combat “The Rocket”? Bring back good ol’ John Smoltz and put him on the mound for one of the best post-season pitching match ups ever.
I went into this game knowing it would be something special and would make or break the rest of the post-season for the Braves. They needed good playing all around and that’s what they brought.
After Smoltz’s battle in the first inning the Braves took over and showed why they have won 14 consecutive division titles. They proved why they play in the postseason every year. Read the rest of this entry »
A bermese python thought he could eat this gator in the Florida Everglades….well he couldn’t. They both ended up dying and something happened to the python’s head. (The picture shows the midsection of the snake where the gator somehow busted out) Full story
We played at the Monkey Barrel in Gainesville last Friday night (9/30). Hopefully this will be the first of some more gigs to come, but it ended up going pretty good.
Well there’s been a little bit of a hiatus in putting the site together. My service provider had some hardware issues and everything went down for a while. Luckily, everything was recovered and I can get back working without having to restart.
Also, I have a couple of other possible sites that may be coming up. So like every other time, I’ve put myself on the back burner to work on something else. But hey, if I can get paid for doing something I’d rather just do that. I’ll have a chance to get mine finished sometime.
Braves start playoffs tomorrow
Well the Braves have made the playoffs for the 14th straight year. Even with all of the injuries and playing with a lot of rookies, they still managed to pull it off and win their division. I’m just hoping they’ll be able to make it past Houston and close the deal this year. We’ve got some tough pitching to face with Pettite, Clemens and Oswalt, so now it’s time to see what those rookies really can do. Read the rest of this entry »
