No reason for the title just listening to it right now, seemed appropriate. Off to see good ol’ Bashee this weekend, he’s heading off to the Air Force and we’re having one last hoo-rah before he leaves. Looking forward to going down and hanging out with everybody…not looking forward to the 3 hour + drive there and back.
But no big deal, we probably won’t get to see the kid for a while anyway. Maybe we’ll have another “dude you can totally fit in the dryer” kinda night. (Picture to be posted later)
It’ll be good to get away and get out of town for a while too.
We’ve got another gig coming up at the Monkey Barrel in Gainesville on Feb. 24th that we’re trying to get ready for. I hope we’re able to fit everything in and be ready for it in time. We haven’t even played together since the last show right after Thanksgiving.

I’m still here, just gotten lazy with this site. I swear I’ll get around to it…seriously.

The biggest game of the year for Whitney and I is happeneing this weekend and we’re both heading up Athens to watch the Bulldogs stomp the Tigers.
We haven’t really given each other much of a hard time yet, but I’m sure we will more and more once the game gets closer.
So I’ve started falling behind on the blogging and felt like it was a good time to get back into it.
I just celebrated my 25th birthday so now I have been alive for a quarter of a century, jeez I feel old. There’s nothing really great about your birthdays after you turn 21…you just get older. Although now I can rent a car and get lower insurance rates (yipee).
Whitney and I rented a cabin last Thursday and we stayed up in Blue Ridge till Saturday. That was a nice trip and it was good to get away from everything for a little while. I wish we could have had longer to stay up there, but I needed to use up some of the rest of my vacation days while I can and that was one of the few chances I got.
Also, I think I’m going to be pretty lucky with the holidays this year (as opposed to last year). We’re going to be stopping down for Thanksgiving and since Xmas and New Year’s are on the weekends I should have those off as well. Plus, I have to use the rest of my vacation days so I put in for the last couple of weeks in December, hopefully I’ll be able to get those.

It’s set, Whitney and I are going off to Hawaii for the honeymoon! After a small fiasco with getting tickets we were able to get them today, and we’re both very excited. This will be the first trip there for both of us, and we’re going to be flying first class (also a first for us)! A HUGE thanks to my dad’s friend Mike and my Mom for donating sky miles for the tickets.
Now we just have to plan the rest of the trip…but luckily we’ve got someone we know that has been there before, which will help us out with planning the thing.
Our flight is leaving the day after the wedding and we’ll come back the next Tuesday stopping in San Francisco for two days before coming home.
Things are starting to really get going, we just found the officiant for the wedding the other day and we both really liked him a lot. We’ve still got a ways to go, but we’re making progress in getting there.

We played at the Monkey Barrel in Gainesville last Friday night (9/30). Hopefully this will be the first of some more gigs to come, but it ended up going pretty good.
Thanks to everybody that came out night!
