Say it ain’t so Mike
I wanted to believe Mike Vick when he said he wasn’t involved with any dog fighting, I really did. But now I just feel like I don’t want him around anymore. Lately he’s been such a nuisance and a distraction on the Falcons and now he’s just making a mockery of the whole incident.
This is what he said to a local reporter outside a Falcons event in Atlanta:
REPORTER: Michael, do you think fans still support the Falcons?
VICK: They have to support us, dawg, that’s what fans do. They gotta
support us if they want us to win.
REPORTER: So amidst all the controversy you think they still support you?
VICK: Everyone supports me, man. I walk down the street, they all support Mike Vick. My job is to win football games.
REPORTER: So do you think in the end you’ll be exonerated from these dog
fighting allegations?
VICk: No comment, dawg.
Mike, just because you can run like a crazy mofo doesn’t mean everybody’s going to cut you a break on this one. And I guess since your job is to win football games, how about winning some man? We’ve been to the playoffs once since you got here and it wasn’t very pretty.
Is it too much to ask to have a decent team that doesn’t have constant controversy surrounding it? I was excited when Vick first got here but I’m pretty much over that now. If it turns out he is involved in all of this there’s going to be a jersey and a bobblehead going quickly to eBay.
Also for everyone that remembers the Ron Mexico incident I found this, I laughed for about 10 minutes.

An even better reason to dump Vick is because he sucks. Petrino had a reputation of not putting up with any off-the-field transgressions at Louisville, and I think if all of this had come out before they traded Schaub, they would have found a way to get Vick out of Atlanta and make Schaub the QB of the future.
Vick is only there to sell tickets at this point, and while I still think the games will be sold out, after a 1-4 start they’ll be fed up with him.
They never should have put up with his lousy play on the field and let him keep building up his ego by making him “the man.” Now they’re paying for it.
Predicted Falcons record: 5-11.
